Sometimes I have to rebuke myself. I have the ability to go from ten to a million in a matter of seconds. It’s what I call “my defense mechanism” and it is solely purposed to keep people out of my space. But as we begin to mature in Christ we must also learn to apply Gods word to our lives in any and everything we say and do. The Bible tells us that we are living epistles read and known of men ( 2Cor 3:2 Kjv) which means that we are being watched by people all around.
The Lord also tells us to lay aside everything that is so quick to set us off (Heb 12:1). It’s important to do self checks from time to time and it’s important that we walk in love and also to be slow to speak swift to hear and most importantly slooooooowwwww to wrath. (Refer to Ephesians 5:2 and James 1:19.)
Once we begin to practice the self check process and to release what we can’t fix we can and will begin to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living (Ps 27:13). So don’t be afraid to rebuke yourself from yourself because the joy begins with you receiving divine correction.
